Looks like Google is in the process of rebranding its browsers. A new version, just released into the Chrome developer channel features the addition of a new logo (above tight) that drops the previous 3D ‘bubble’ look for a streamlined, flatter look.
Similarly, Google also changed the logo for its open source Chromium web browser (upon which Chrome is based), applying the same one-dimensional look.
